Busing

NOTE REGARDING BUS STATUS TIMES - Willco updates the status box above when a bus is running outside the regular schedule. Although these messages are posted in a timely manner and appear immediately, the time stamp is not accurate. We are working on this issue and hope to have it resolved shortly. September 25, 2012

We are pleased to partner with Willco Transportation to provide city-wide transportation to our students.

Applying for Bus Service

If you require bussing, please complete the 2012-2013 "Agreement for Bus Service" and forward it with your deposit to the school ASAP. Click here for the 2011-2012 transportation agreement.

Parent Provided Transportation Program

If you transport your children to school, please complete the 2012-2013 "Agreement for Parent Provided Transportation" to receive a rebate from the government for your travel costs. The final due date for submission is September 30, 2012. Please note the request to attach a map from the internet showing distance. This is available by using Google or Mapquest or others.

Communicating Snow/Cold Days and Delays in Service

On school days, the school is always open. We always move forward with the assumption that buses will be operating. Each morning, school adminitration reviews the posted Government of Canada weather and determines if buses will be cancelled. If buses are cancelled, we notify local radio stations to have the information broadcasted. As well, an e-mail message will be sent by 7:45am to all families on the e-mail list. Regardless of whether or not the buses are operating, the school will remain open.

To access bus progress information call (403) 229-3010 and choose Option 2. This is the first line of communicating to parents about delays with the busses and is available to all Calgary Arts Academy families.
