School Council and School Council Society
Calgary Arts Academy's Glenmeadows Elementary and Knob Hill Middle School Campuses operate their School Council and School Council Society collectively. In doing so, we have a Chairperson / President (or Vice-President) from each campus and collaborate on all Council and Society business together.

Calgary Arts Academy School Council
We are a group of parents and teachers who work together with our Principal to support the wellbeing and effectiveness of the entire school community.
As parents, you are all members of School Council, as well as our fundraising arm, School Council Society. As such, you are invited to all meetings.
CAA School Council activities include: - Community pancake breakfast - Regular special lunches for students - Glenmeadows Hallowe'en dance - CAA Art Harvest event - Babysitting and Home Alone courses - Parent education workshops - Garden and facility enhancement

Both the Chairperson / President and Treasurer positions are 2-year terms, with both being filled on alternate years to provide for continuity. All other positions are 1-year terms.
Calgary Arts Academy School Council Society
CAA School Council Society is a registered society whose main role is to fundraise in order for CAA School Council to achieve its goals. These funds are used to enhance the learning environment of our school through the purchase of technology, and music, drama, and gym equipment.
With the guidance of our Principal, we identify current educational needs within the school and raise funds accordingly.
We focus on fundraisers which provde value to our parents and students, either directly or through community building.
CAA School Council Society's fundraisers for 2012-2013 include:
- SUTP coupon books - Special lunches - Student created art calendar - Glenmeadows Hallowe'en dance - Student created art cards and Christmas gift tags and stickers - Holiday basket raffle at the winter celebration - Spolumbo's Sausages fundraising project - Application to appropriate and available community grants - Operation of a casino in the spring of 2013 - a critical fundraiser for CAA.
This year, all orders will be placed online through our new fundraiser order system at caa.fundraiserorders.com. If you haven't already done so, please log in at www.caa.hotlunches.net to register your child. Your child's account information is used on both sites. Returning parents will also need to update their information in order to place orders.
